I need to learn an 'educated' word to substitute BULLSHIT because that seems to be the only one coming to my mind when I think of society...

'Whites suffer more racism than blacks': Study shows white American people believe they are more discriminated against  → dailymail.co.uk

WOWWWWWW!!!! READ THE COMMENTS!!!! what!?? First of all, for any white person that feels black people have even the ability to be racists…. you are wrong. That’s it… no arguments. It is not proportionately possible due to the set up of what…. every single societal structure in America? Secondly, for everyone who participated in the study… stop your whimpering you don’t have it that hard. Try living in a community where you third grade sons test scores decide how big private companies build their prisons. When you live THAT reality come talk to me…. Yeah? Silence? Is that what I hear? Let me stop….

Short rant on why NOT to join the military:

So a tumblr friend is thinking about the military and I told her not to do it! I want to keep her decision confidential but I want to post what I wrote to get other opinions for her, or to start a conversation on why you all think one should not join the military…. Here is a start… its what I sent her:

I just have personal issues with everything armed service represents. Their ideals, acceptance, and understanding of the world is completely biased toward US political and economic gain. By joining it you are perpetuating a cycle of injustice against soooooo many people and communities. Again, this is my personal opinion. And I support you as a person but will never support the military. So many lives are lost on supposed “honor” when it is really to put power and money in the hand of a few people who don’t deserve it and use that power to destroy other nations just to remain a world power. The reasons developing nations are in the place they are is due to neoliberalism and this supposed “free market” and “individual liberty” society….. sorry I could go on for days…..

In addition! Drawing from the ethnographer Nordstrom, there are so many shadows involved in Military service. So many countries and economies are involved in conflicts where our troops our sent. The complexity of a single conflict is vast and the reasoning for involvement is even bigger. You never know who or what you are actually fighting for…..

To the answer “I don’t have a choice” (speaking to American citizens only on this one): There is ALWAYS a choice. From someone who has been homeless, poor, without a family, hungry…. You CAN find opportunity elsewhere…. AND I will show it to you personally if I have to. RIGHT THE FUCK NOW!!!! get at me…. ESPECIALLY all of my people of color and women out there….

White feminists:

split-the-coast:

When you discuss the wage gap, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Only white women make $0.77 to a man’s dollar.
  • Black women make about $0.68 to a man’s dollar.
  • Latina women make about $0.58 to a man’s dollar.

Intersectionality matters.

Dear followers, people, and stalkers...

To all my followers and people I follow. You rock! I learn so much from you and really appreciate this community we are building. I have actually made some best friends and lovers through this so yeah… crazy!

To all of the random people that message me, send me compliments and messages of encouragement I appreciate you too. I always get the nice messages when I really need to hear it. When I’m feeling really low, so thank you.

To the people who are stalking me…. STOP… its creepy!! and I notice!!! If we have never had an interaction and you got me on tumblr, twitter, Facebook, live journal from 6th grade (jk not really), finding my email/number somehow, telling people you know me, and are liking dozens of posts on all those networks…. THAT IS NOT OK!!!

Thanks.

Hi I've been reading your page and I would like to go in to traveling abroad could you give any advice please

Sure!!! But there are so many aspects to traveling haha I could go on for days… is there anything in particular you would like to know? One thing is for sure… have an open mind. The world has so much to offer and you learn the most when you are willing to step outside of your comfort zone and truly experience the culture you are immersing yourself in.

Heroes is a Racist Show...

Sooo I’m watching Heroes (its my new embarrassing obsession on Netflix) and was thinking that gosh…. the “Hatian” is such an inappropriate character… so I googled it and up came this blog entry!!! It is totally accurate. So if there are any other Heroes fans you might find this interesting….

http://slumz.boxden.com/f218/heroes-racist-show-1010312/

I know that sounds crazy but I’ve been noticing some crazy patterns. Some may say I’m reaching but hear me out.

Example 1: The Haitian…why doesn’t he have a name. Why is he just called “The Haitian”? Wat the hell kinda shyt is that? They don’t call Hiro the “The Jap” or Peter “The Caucasian”. So he’s the only character that has no name just a nationality…smh…They mine as well have called him “The nicca”.

Example 2: Micha’s father gets shot coming out the club. What the hell kinda stereotype is that? He gets shot by some random thug coming out the club of all places after trying to save his crazy[..] “white” wife. They mine as well of had the KKK kidnap and hang da brother.

Example 3: Micha’s cousin. Why is he a young thug (wit braids) in his head that lives in the hood who happens to get jacked by some grown[..] thugs for a book bag full of comic books? Man get the fukk out here. Then when we see the thugs who jacked him, they come pullin up in cars with the music blasting, giving each dap and shyt. They catch the sister hangin from the ceiling and they all pull out guns. If that aint a stereotype I dont know what is. Oh yeah and they’re in New Orleans…go figure.

Example 4: The painters girl friend in the first season gets shot. She walked into a confrontation and just happens to get clapped. She catches a “stray bullet”. Man what the hell. Oh yeah and her father who seems to be the only black person portrayed as someone of education dies of cancer with in no time, well aint that bout a bytch.

Example 5: Micha’s female cousin is working at a damn fast food restaurant (What the hell) that gets held up by a black man holding a damn shot gun. Man what the fukk.

Example 6: Last one, why michas grandmother and them are so poor they gotta steal cable to watch wrestling. Oh so we all criminals huh lol. This shyt is a trip lol.

I’m just waiting for them to find a black hero that can run from the police super fast or jump hella damn high. Matter fact…the next black hero will probably be able to pick cotton at the speed of light…Damn the writers. Damn them to hell.
